Sweet Pea Needs a Loving Home    

Sweet Pea, a soon to be totally blind, mostly Pit, pup, is in a race with the clock to find a loving home. His Ophthalmologist feels training and a new home adjustment would be easier while he still has some sight and the Trainers feel he needs to have a home to go to before he starts special training. With a family or a friend in the wings they could reinforce his training once "boot camp" comes to an end.

Sweet Pea is one of your miracle pups. Months ago he dragged his broken body into a rural warehouse. He was a skeleton covered with skin that was 75% torn, bitten and bruised. Even then he wagged his pitiful tail and cuddled with the people who rescued him. After three surgeries to close deep wounds in his side, heartworm treatment and lots of love, he was ready to look for a home. Then he was afflicted with an unknown eye condition that is causing him to loose his sight and his eyes. How long before total blindness occurs is unknown though he probably has only light and dark vision for large objects now.

     Sweet Pea loves every human he comes in contact with and they, in turn, fall for him. He has suffered multiple painful treatments with only a wag of his tail and a cuddle for the Vets treating him, never a snarl or a growl. His only issue is with other dogs or pets. He fears them. He would positively need to be an "only pet". He also needs a securely fenced yard since he would be vulnerable due to his blindness.
