Lily is a 4 year old brindle Pit Bull Terrier female. Lily is the sweetest, most affectionate of all the Jabula crew! She is an ambassador for her breed, and is a magnet to all she meets drawing them in winning and their hearts! Lily was a rescue from Animal Action Rescue at 5 months old. She was rescued emaciated with an embedded collar, tied to a chain, suffering from Parvo, pneumonia, and an eye infection. She had been beaten so severely that whenever approached, she would cower, trembling and lose bowel control. After spending 2 weeks on IV under the caring veterinary folks at Decatur Village Vets, Lily came into the lives of the Jabula Crew as a foster. After a few weeks, Kate knew Lily could never leave! She has a lot to teach humanity about forgiveness and overcoming adversity. Although Lily is well educated and performs at all Demonstrations and functions for Jabula Dog Academy, she would prefer to be a social butterfly and cuddle with people. Her education includes Advanced Off leash reliability in all environments, Bite work and Protection training and Directional training to hand signals. Lily’s most important job description is in teaching under socialized dogs how to interact appropriately. She brings a calm non-reactive demeanor to training situations to teach dogs appropriate interaction. You will see Lily in group classes demonstrating exercises and soliciting cuddles from clients ;) |
