Puppy Class is great introduction to both obedience and positive socialization. Each class lasts one hour consisting of two parts:
One portion of the class your pup will play and socialize with its classmates. This is not, however, just a play date. While the pups interact, our trainer explains the interaction using the immediate examples to unpack dog body language, behavior, signs of temperament, how to properly discourage poor interaction and encourage positive behaviors. This environment allows your puppy to learn the proper manners associated with positive socialization–a trait that will affect their own behavior and dog interaction for the rest of their life.
The other portion of the Puppy Class is basic obedience training reworked to fit a puppy’s cognitive level. We will cover sit, stay, coming when called, leash manners, heel, door manners, and many other aspects of obedience. In addition to obedience skills, each class will address the typical puppy issues new owners struggle with: crate training, house breaking, mouthing, chewing, and more.
Age requirement: 5 months or younger at start of class
Shot Requirement: All rounds of Bordatella (Kennel Cough) and 2 rounds of Distemper and Parvo.
